Jessica Foulis, from the Eagle County Land Trust, gave a presentation at our Annual HOA Meeting on Monday, February 22, regarding Homestead Open Space and the Eagle County “L” Open Space. She also shared some information about the their upcoming Community Land Connection Hike Series. These hikes are open to the public and they would love to have Homestead homeowners join, especially during the March hike in the Homestead Open Space. Here is more information from Jessica:
Eagle Valley Land Trust Community Land Connection Hike Series:
Join Eagle Valley Land Trust and our community partners to explore conserved lands throughout Eagle County. Each month, we will be leading a nature hike on a different public conservation easement in Eagle County. Hikes will be Friday afternoons from 11:30-1:30 AM and will focus on a different relevant theme in each location. Hikes are free and open to the public. Those interested should come prepared to spend 2 hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, sturdy waterproof shoes, snowshoes or yaktrax and trekking poles if desires. We will be hiking in both packed and unconsolidated snow. Hikes are weather dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather. Please email [email protected] for more information and to reserve your spot.
