Saturday August 27
8:30am-10:30am
Work Plan – (family friendly work day) We would like to work on the area between Homestead Drive and the beginning of the flow trail in the ‘L” Last year we put in several turns to lessen the grade of the trail and improve drainage. Unfortunately the grass did not re-seed naturally on the old trail. We are requesting that Eagle County Open Space provide native seed and landscape mat so we may restore the old trail and discourage users from short cutting the new trail. This landscape mat which is a natural material made from a hay-like substance works to hold the seed in place until it can germinate and it creates a visual and physical barrier that discourages users including dogs from cutting corners on the trail
