Eagle County is planning to do some repair work on Gold Dust Drive. Here is the tentative repair schedule and an update from Eagle County:
- Monday, April 7th: Excavate damaged areas so that a soils engineer can obtain samples. Backfill with structural material.
- Tuesday, April 8th: Continue to backfill with road base and prep for hot mix paving.
- Monday April 14th: Patch damaged areas with hot mix asphalt (pending the asphalt plant opening for a one week period).
- Week of April 14th or April 21st with temperatures permitting: Geo tech firm will perform sub base testing using a falling weight deflectometer. This will determine the need for a total road rebuild or rebuild of certain sections.
