Parking on Homestead Streets

Residents of Homestead are being reminded that per Eagle County, there is no parking allowed on Homestead streets or right-of-ways. This is enforced by the Eagle County Sheriffs Department, not Homestead. All Homestead roads and right-of-ways are property of Eagle County and are subject to their traffic codes, which include speeding and parking violations. Per Eagle County code and Homestead documents, parking on the streets and right-of-ways is illegal. Both Eagle County and Homestead rely on information from the public to direct patrols to illegal parking. If a neighbor sees illegal parking on our roads, please request a directed patrol of a Sheriff Deputy at 479-2201. Homestead does not have the authority to ticket parking violations on County property. If the issue continues after a request is made to the Sheriff multiple times, please reach out to Homestead so we may investigate, and notify the owner by certified mail of the covenant violation. After multiple notifications an owner will be scheduled for a hearing at a Board meeting.
