Adult Tennis Clinics
Participants in the beginner and advanced beginner clinics will learn the basics of stroke production, proper grips and proper techniques for playing tennis. Singles and doubles strategy will be learned in an effort to get the players playing. Our intermediate and advanced clinics will focus more on footwork and technique in a fast paced, fun drill setting. All the shots will be covered! Singles and doubles drill point play will be emphasized along with serving and returning.
Private and Semi-Private Lessons are available from certified USTA professionals for all levels of instruction. Member rates are $65 per hour for a private lesson and $70 per hour for a semi-private lesson. To schedule a lesson, please send a request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are taking a break from tournaments in the Summer of 2019, due to court resurfacing. We hope you will join us in participating in one or both of our tournaments next Summer! In 2020 we will kick off our tournament season with the Vail Valley Junior Challenger Tournament in June. And in July we host the Vail Valley Adult Tennis Tournament. Visit www.usta.com, and look under the Tournament page to register and for more info.
Platform Tennis or “Paddle” as most call it is similar to tennis but with elements of racquetball and squash; paddle is relatively easy compared to tennis, a great workout and lots of fun. It is played outdoors in the fall/winter and we would love to introduce as many Homestead members to paddle as possible. Most who play end up loving the sport.
The newest addition to our racquet offerings is pickleball. We completed construction of our pickleball court in the fall of 2018. Pickleball is a fun sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Stop by the front desk to grab our loaner equipment and give pickleball a try today, we think you will love it!
