Eagle River Water & Sanitation District Presenting at 8/8/25 Board Meeting

 A Message From ERWSD

Eagle River Water & Sanitation District (ERWSD) provides wastewater service from East Vail to Cordillera. The Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility in Edwards is the only facility that treats solids for this service area. ERWSD is required by State regulation to upgrade the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility to reduce the amount of nutrients in the effluent going into the Eagle River. The project is estimated to cost $90 million. There are two funding options: a revenue bond repaid through customer rates or a general obligation (GO) bond repaid through property taxes. Voters will see a ballot question in the Nov. 4, 2025 coordinated election to authorize the GO bond. ERWSD General Manager Siri Roman and Director of Business of Operations David Norris will present data on the impacts of a GO bond compared to revenue bond and answer questions about the ballot question at Homestead’s next Board meeting on Friday, August 8th, at 10:00am. Siri and David will also discuss other current priorities, including the excessive water use campaign.

Handouts will include:
