Eagle Valley Wildland will begin work on the wildfire mitigation project on the Eagle County owned Homestead ‘L’ Open Space, as well as on a portion of Homestead Open Space beginning in May. The goal is to reduce fuels and improve eco system health in the open space areas, as well as create a buffer between the open space and residential areas. Please see map below.
Mitigation will take place in the area outlined in yellow on this map
